FAQ's

I'm not flexible-Is yoga right for me?

Of course! Yoga is not about being flexible. It's about creating a peaceful mind, deepening your breath, and strengthening your body. Your body will get stronger and more flexible along the way.

How early should I arrive?

If it is your first class, please arrive 20 minutes prior to class so we can give you a tour of the facility and you can sign the necessary paperwork. Once you start coming regularly, we ask you arrive 10 minutes prior.

What should I bring with me to a hot yoga or strength class?

You'll need to bring a yoga mat, a tall bottle of water, and an open spirit. If you do not have a mat, or forgot something, items will be available for rent or sale.

If you need to shower after class, small items such as lotion and hair dyers will be provided. If you forgot a towel, you can rent one.

What should I wear?

Wear the least amount of clothing you are comfortable in. Men usually wear t-shirts and shorts, women usually wear tank tops and shorts or capris.

Please avoid wearing cologne, perfume, or heavily scented lotions.

Can I handle the heat?

Absolutely. Infrared heat is the softest of all heats and has been proven to be safe for all ages, no matter the fitness level. Infrared heat therapy is used in hospitals to keep premature babies warm. If you have major health concerns, consult our physician.

If you begin to feel overheated, lay on your back with arms and legs spread open (savasana). You are welcome to leave the class to cool off at anytime.

Should I eat prior to class?

Although this is a personal preference, you should avoid eating 2 hours prior to class. Come well hydrated!

Reminder: like all physical activity, you should not enter the room if you have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
